This May’s Book Club is “The Revolution According To Raymundo Mata” by Gina Apostol.

It is a “riotous second novel takes the form of a memoir by one Raymundo Mata, a half-blind bookworm and revolutionary, tracing his childhood, his education in Manila, his love affairs, and his discovery of writer and fellow revolutionary, Jose Rizal,” according to her publisher Penguin Random House.

This book is a fun way to get an insight into your new adopted home, The Philippines.
